I decided to prepare my Blog early this year although I still have fifty percent of my work due on 31/12/23. Because of the workload, I did not sleep for two days. I'm used to that in my younger days. The difference now is I chew countless tablets of 4 mg Nicorette instead of puffing cigarettes.
I need the nicotine buzz to ward away the effect of Paliperidone, the medication that helps me counter the fluctuation of dopamine in my brain due to my lifelong illness, the insidious Bipolar Affective Disorder.
The medication is a dopamine antagonist. Therefore without the dopamine spike provided by Nicorette, I will not be able to function like a normal person. I will be like a castrated cat, unmotivated to do anything; just eat and sleep all day long.
So Nicorette is the lesser of the two evils. I tried quitting cigarettes countless times. The last one was in 2020 during the pandemic. I managed to quit for three years. Then due to the medication, I gained 20 kg and was depressed. So I self-medicated with Surya Kretek. It was heaven on earth. However, Surya is not a permanent answer.
So with resolute determination, I quit and I intend to stay quit forever. The price is, I am stuck with Nicorette. The is only one escape route for me. That is to take up *[to take up] running again, another alternative to dopamine spike.

Therefore, my 22 km Bukit Kiara Hill Run on 24/12/24 is to bring ONE TRIBE to the Peak of Sidrattul Muntaha so that all humans can enter the Highest Xanadu.
Bukit Kiara is an enchanted forest. Actually, Sidrattul Muntaha is just a 1.5 km walk to the dead-end road. You reach the end of the road, then at the curved pavement, face NNW. There is the Lote Tree. I will put my IZ initial there when I complete the Hill Run.
The loop is special. I named it Darkness after my dragon. Up from the foothill is 1 km. That is a good walking warmup. The loop itself is 2.2 km. I will do 10 loops.
Why I call it Darkness because the loop rolls like a rollercoaster. Like riding on a dragon's back. Coming up is Darkness' tail and at the end of the loop is Darkness' head...
Why do I bother to run 22 km if Sidrattul Muntala is only 1.5 km away? You may ask.
